Happening au parc des arts du Centre culturel Aberdeen

L’artiste en résidence, Nadine Bariteau prépare un Happening au 140 rue Botsford, dans le parc du Centre culturel Aberdeen le jeudi 25 juillet de 17h à 19h. Alisa Arseneault servira de la Alimonade et il y aura de la sérigraphie sur crêpes, musique et projections. Cet événement est gratuit et ouvert à tous.

 Née à Montréal et vivant à Toronto, Nadine Bariteau est une artiste multidisciplinaire dont la pratique prend racine dans les techniques d'impression, la sculpture, l'installation et la vidéo performance. Son travail explore les thèmes de la permanence et de l'éphémère dans l'interaction entre les milieux anthropiques et naturels. Elle est diplômée de l'Université Concordia à Montréal et a obtenu sa maitrise en beaux-arts à l'Université York à Toronto. Bariteau a exposé à l'échelle nationale et internationale et son travail peut être vu dans les collections privées et publiques. enseigne les techniques d'impressions à Ontario College of Art and Design University.


Nadine Bariteau, artist in residence at Imago, is preparing a Happening in the Centre culturel Aberdeen Art Park onThursday July 25th from 5 to 7. Alisa Arseneault will be serving Alimonade and there will be screenprinting on crêpes, projections and music. This event is free and open to all.

Born in Montreal and living in Toronto, Nadine Bariteau’s mutidisciplinary practice is rooted in printmaking, sculpture, installation and video performance. Her work explores themes such as permanence and ephemerality and the interaction between anthropic and natural worlds. Bariteau holds a BFA from Concordia University and an MFA from York University in Toronto. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally and is part of many private and public collections.

L’atelier d’estampe Imago offre une bourse annuelle à un.e candidat.e qui a gradué.e du baccalauréat en arts visuels de Mount Allison University ou l'Université de Moncton dans les cinq dernières années. Cette bourse vise à encourager et appuyer les artistes estampiers de la relève en leur donnant l’occasion de continuer leur production artistique en estampe au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Mer, NB et est une récente diplômée de l'Université de Moncton en photographie et en estampe. 

ICH / MOI est le résultat de son année de recherche dans l'atelier où elle a exploré l'estampe conceptuelle et performative.

Imago Artist-run Print studio offers an annual bursary to a candidate who has earned their Bachelors in Fine Arts from Mount Allison University or l’Université de Moncton within the past five years. This bursary enables young artists to continue their practice in contemporary printmaking in New-Brunswick.

Mer, NB and has recently graduated from the Université de 

Moncton visual arts department with a concentration in photography and printmaking. ICH/MOI is the result of her year of studio research, exploring conceptual and performative printmaking.

Épistola (Épître)

Le terme épître est un mot archaïque, issu du latin épistola, du grec επιστολη (epistolē), qui désigne une lettre (au sens de correspondance).
L’auteure envoie une lettre par la poste à l’artiste. Celle-ci peut contenir un mot, un poème, une phrase, quelque chose. L’artiste répond également avec une image, un objet, une lettre et ainsi de suite. La correspondance dure trois mois.

Le vernissage du résultat de cet échange aura lieu au premier étage du Centre culturel Aberdeen le mercredi 24 avril à 17h en présence de l'auteure, Sonia Cotten et l'artiste, Rémi Belliveau.

Ce projet est une collaboration entre le festival Frye et l'atelier d'estampe Imago.

The writer sends a letter by mail to the printmaker. It can be a word, a sentence, a poem, anything. They begin a three month correspondence. The artist reciprocates with an image, an object, a letter and so on and so forth for 3 months. 

The results of this exchange will be shown on the first floor of the Centre culturel Aberdeen. The opening will take place on Wednesday April 24 at 5pm. The artist, Rémi Belliveau and the author, Sonia Cotten will be present.

This project is a collaboration between The Frye Festival and l'atelier d'estampe Imago.
