Céline Huyghebaert explore un vocabulaire à mi-chemin entre les arts et la littérature, entre le documentaire et la fiction, la recherche et la théorie. Elle a diffusé son travail dans des expositions individuelles et collectives (Fonderie Darling/2017, DARE DARE/2017, Arprim/2017, Centre canadien d'architecture de Montréal/2012.), dans des foires ou des expositions sur le livre, comme le Toronto Art Book Fair (2017), l’exposition Edition/Forme/Remix commissariée par le Collectif blanc (2017), ou Fanzines! à Paris (2012). Ses textes ont été publiés dans différentes revues et collectifs, mais aussi dans des contextes alternatifs de diffusion comme l’autopublication ou la dissémination sauvage. Pendant sa résidence à l’atelier Imago, elle travaillera sur plusieurs projets de livres et de fanzines en cours qui explorent par le texte et le dessin la question de l’invisibilité et de l’effacement. Elle reprendra une série sur les sacs poubelles commencée en 2012 en vue d'en faire un livre, et commencera un fanzine qui aborde les aspects visuels du son. Elle cherchera comment donner une matérialité à ce qui ne se voit pas en jouant avec les procédés d’impression sérigraphique et typographique.

Céline Huyghebaert examines a vocabulary which is half way between arts and literature, documentary and fiction, research and theory. Her work has been shown in solo and collective exhibitions in Canada and France. Huyghebaert’s texts have been published in several periodicals and but have also been disseminated though alternative contexts such as self-publication.
During her time at Imago, she will work on different ongoing book projects and zines that explore questions of invisibility and erasure through text and drawing. She will revisit a series on garbage bags from 2012 to make a book which will touch on the visual aspects of sound. Through screenprinting and letterpress, Huyghebaert will attempt to give materiality to the unperceivable. 5 to 7 with the artist on Wednesday March 21 at Imago.
