Mitch Mitchell en résidence

Mitchell est un artiste estampier interdisciplinaire basé à Halifax. Son travail récent examine des notions de nature éphémere, synthétic et sublime et leur relation avec le corps humain et l’environnement.

Il travaille principalement en photogravure et en lithography en incorporant l’image digital. Sa recherche pivote sur la beauté périlleuse issu du développement et l’effondrement du paysage.

Mitch Mitchell is an interdisciplinary print artist working in Halifax, NS. His current bodies of work explores the ephemeral, synthetic and sublime nature(s) coexisting between the relationship of the human body and the surrounding contemporary environment. His 2d works employ a combination of photogravure and lithography blending traditional techniques with new digital image creation and matrix integration. His works focus on the dangerous beauty inherent in the mass development and erasure of landscape.

Art en Boîte 2011

Notre campagne de financement annuelle, Art en Boîte, est maintenant terminée. Le conseil d'administration tient à remercier les bénévoles qui ont donner de leur temps pendant la soirée et les artistes participants qui à chaque année font preuve d'une grande générosité. Cette année ont a amassé 5542$ qui ira envers l'achat d'un nouveau tiroir à papier.

Our board of directors wishes to thank all our volunteers and the donating artists who make our annual fundraiser, Art en Boîte, a success. We raised 5542$ dollars which will go to the purchase of a much needed flat file system for our members.

2 artistes et 2 non-artistes ont été approchés pour nous faire part de leurs idées en vue de rendre Moncton meilleur. Les projets en forme d'affiches seront placées sur la rue Main et la rue St-George du 12 au 26 septembre 2010.

2 artists and 2 non-artists were approached to share their ideas on improving Moncton. The projects in poster form will be placed in various sites on Main street and St-George street from September 12 to the 26 2010.
